Drama acting assignment.

Acting assignment is one of the assessments in Literary Genres II: Drama. it will take place in March 13, 2009. So it's about 2 to 3 weeks more left!

everyone in the class is united into only one group. there is another section which devide the people into 3 sub-groups (due to the big amount of ppl).

we've had our first meeting today. so alhamdulillah, everything has been set up, from the characters till the venue for weekly rehearsal.

we'll be performing a greek comedy play called Lysistrata, by Aristophanes; one of the greatests dramatist during that time. (above is the most sopan and senonoh picture i've ever found. the rests aren't suitable to be displayed here).basically, since it's a comedy play so it must be funny la kan. but by the time you read it, you would either vomit or feel disgusting from the page one till the end. you might bear in mind that this play is only about sex. however when you are about to grasp the inner messages, you'll find out that it has nothing to do with sex. it's so interesting though. other than that, you might be wondering how did the play be performed when almost scenes include the sexual things. but the fact is that during that time, no women is allowed to be involved in theatre performance. so the whole play was performed by men which i consider as OK lah~ and layannn lah~.

there are several characters to be played. i'll be playing on one of the Old Women Chorus, besides Sakinah, Nadea, Ain and Dalila. since we'll be performing together so hopefully it won't be that hard and will run smoothly. and guess what, i'll also be playing another solo role that is Old Market Woman. hopefully it will suit me well. huhu. this will be my very first experience doing stage performance and i'll go out as an old woman. what do you think, ppl? *rolling eyes* fine. like ain said: "ala biase la mula dari bawah". yea, u'r right. even a thousand starts with a cent. huhu. sgt envy Dina! haha. she'll be playing the main character, Lysistrata. salute! do well, Dina. we all have a very high expectation towards you. we know you were born talented. geee.

im now anticipating the play to be staged successfully. *pray*

oh yea, again, it will take place in March 13, 8 pm, at Main Auditorium, and everyone is welcomed!
