a must-try 5-minute recipe.

First of all, these are Chocolate Cakes.
Don't they look delicious? Well, maybe not :P

I found this instant way of baking chocolate cake on youtube two weeks ago and just got a chance to try it out last week. It's seriously fast: 2 minutes to prepare and mix all ingredients up and another 2 and a half minutes to bake in a microwave. Below is the recipe taken from here. If you're intending to try something delicious, easy and instant, put this into your to-do list :)

INGREDIENTS:

> 4 tbs of flour. (I recommend you to use MFM raising flour)
> 4 tbs of sugar.
> 2 tbs of cocoa powder (I recommend Van Houten's)
> 1 egg.
> 3 tbs of milk.
> 3 tbs of cooking oil.
> 1 tsp of vanilla essence.

Put EVERYTHING in such a big mug.
Stir them up till they are well mixed.
To make it moist, add more milk.
Then, put it in a microwave for 2.30 minutes.

HAPPY TRYING! :)

meet my other half.

Call her Puteh. She's almost 3 years old, and is pregnant! And I am so anticipating her super cute (hopefully) babies. meow~

Curiosity killed the cat? Nah, not anymore.

Another walking device, Abu.

I am so dead if my dad knows she's been sleeping on my bed all this while.

Back off. It's hers.

Mind you. It's my fault that she never had any moral education.

This is just something I liked when I was small.
Surprisingly, I just found that I still love doodling like this! :)

the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

That proverb is undeniably true. We do look at other people's lives and other things that we don't have in general through rose colored glasses. We often consider those things as such pleasant and happy ones. Hence ignoring anything negative about them and at the same time downplaying everything positive about our own. Well, that does happen to me almost all the time. I always envy people for having such things and never realize the priceless things that I own. To be brief, there are times where people are just unthankful, ungrateful for everything that God had continuously granted them.
.

About few weeks ago, I was seriously disappointed, I felt so down that my application to be one of Taaruf week (orientation) committees did not get any approval. Few days later, I got a news that my application for a study loan was not approved too. Next, I had missed the interview session to do part time job at Mahallad office hence I failed to get it. There are also other things that had made me feel bad about myself. I just felt that at some point, my life is way worse than others'..

But God is fair. While feeling down for not getting some of the things I wished for, some other good things came up. Despite of being rejected to be the Taaruf committee, I passed the interview to be a SLEU (Student Learning Enhancement Unit) coordinator and had started doing some tasks last week :) I also had just received an email telling me that I got a chance to do a part-time translating job :) Not only that, I also got an email that offers me to be part of a program for children under Global Peace Mission (GPM). You'd have no idea how much I love volunteering. and etc, etc...

In brief, I thank Allah for everything He had granted me and I promise to always appreciate every single thing I have and believe that every cloud has a silver lining :)
Alhamdulillah :)
.
p/s: Happy hols to all IIUM-mates!

some random sweet movie lines.

~~~~~
Pete :
Do you even know that she has six different smiles?
Tad :
She has six smiles?
Pete :
Yeah.
One when something flat out makes her laugh.
One when she's laughing out of politeness.
But there's one when she makes plans.
One when she makes fun of herself.
One when she's uncomfortable.
And one when... One when she's talking about her friends.
Tad :
I don't know those thing yet, Pete.
Pete :
No, you don't, Tad.
I'm telling you, she is more of a treasure than you can possibly know.
She's not just some wholesome small-town girl,
some of good-for-you breath of fresh air.
Tad, she is a wonderful person with a huge heart.
and a kind of beauty that a guy only sees once, you know? Once.
~~~~~

This is taken from the movie "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton". This movie is effing touching. I was deeply moved. For real. Pete is the BFF of Rosalee while Tad is the guy whom Rosalee is in love with at that time. As he is actually in love with Rosalee, he warns Tad not to break Rosalee's heart, or he would tear him to pieces, either with his bare hands or his rhetoric. Oh my goodness, aren't these so freaking sweet? auwww~

I wish there'll be a guy who's capable of telling me about how many smiles I have. lmao. Okay, stop dreaming.

well, to conclude,

twenty-one.

November 5, 2010.

It was the day where all Hindus celebrated their festival of lights, or Deepavali. But what mattered the most (for me) is that it was also the day I turned older. I am now officially twenty one. Urgh. I wish I could be twenty forever.

My final examination began on October 30, proceeded on November 1 and 2. After that, there was only one paper left; which was on November 12. So basically, I got about 11-days gap before I sat for the last paper; Introduction to Pragmatics (which nearly drove me nut). So then I phoned my parents to fetch me home, considering that it might be stressful for me to just stay at IIUM (especially when my birthday was just around the corner). However instead of preparing for the final paper, I made a wiser decision to join my mom's work trip to Terengganu and Kelantan, without my dad (he couldn't make it due to some important programs).

The very first activity done as we arrived at Terengganu was performing Subuh prayer hehe. As I just finished praying, I got a kiss on cheek from my mom! -the birthday kiss. Then we continued our trip by visiting the Noor Arfa Craft Complex. After a few hours spent there, we straightly headed to Pasar Payang. It was 12 o'clock sharp, and seriously hot, and it was my freaking 21st birthday, and I was wandering aimlessly up and down the place. I cried a lil' bit as I just couldn't stand that situation. I was still silently crying when my eldest sister and her husband (who stay at Kuala Terengganu) arrived. They then picked us up and brought us to the motel. The moment we reached our room, I straightly looked for the bathroom and took shower for like half an hour and had a very pleasing nap, before I began listing my 21st birthday resolutions :)

At around 10pm, my eldest sister and her husband appeared, with a Secret Recipe cake box and KFC. yeay! and shake-a-doo, it's Chocolate Banana! oh, I just couldn't stop smiling :)

the number 5 represented the 3-in-1 celebration; my birthday (November 5), my mom's belated 50th birthday, and my sister and brother-in-law's minor anniversary (5 months). It was awesome!, except for the fact that another 2 family members; my father and elder sister weren't there to together share the joyness.

Before reaching midnight, we spent our time together at the karaoke lounge. Omg, I never knew that my brother-in-law is so good at singing! LOL. As it's almost midnight, we decided to call it a day. I studied Pragmatics a lil' bit before having a wonderful good night sleep :)

Well to be honest, for like half of the day, I thought that my birthday sucked this year. But then at the end of the day, I realized that it was actually a blessing in disguise.

THANKS A MILLION to all for the birthday wishes. Thanks for the precious people (sister, close friends) for texting me the birthday wishes as the clock striked twelve. Thanks for the beloved people who sang a birthday song for me on the phone. I was moved! Really. Thanks for my pregnant sister and her lovely husband for the cake, and amazing dinner. Thanks for those Facebook friends for spending some time to write me birthday wishes on my wall. Thanks to all. Thanks a LOT.

THANK YOU MOM, for giving birth to me.

and most importantly, THANK YOU ALLAH for still giving me a chance to repent, and fix my mistake, with every single breathe I take. Thank you Allah, for EVERYTHING :)
