twenty-one.

November 5, 2010.

It was the day where all Hindus celebrated their festival of lights, or Deepavali. But what mattered the most (for me) is that it was also the day I turned older. I am now officially twenty one. Urgh. I wish I could be twenty forever.

My final examination began on October 30, proceeded on November 1 and 2. After that, there was only one paper left; which was on November 12. So basically, I got about 11-days gap before I sat for the last paper; Introduction to Pragmatics (which nearly drove me nut). So then I phoned my parents to fetch me home, considering that it might be stressful for me to just stay at IIUM (especially when my birthday was just around the corner). However instead of preparing for the final paper, I made a wiser decision to join my mom's work trip to Terengganu and Kelantan, without my dad (he couldn't make it due to some important programs).

The very first activity done as we arrived at Terengganu was performing Subuh prayer hehe. As I just finished praying, I got a kiss on cheek from my mom! -the birthday kiss. Then we continued our trip by visiting the Noor Arfa Craft Complex. After a few hours spent there, we straightly headed to Pasar Payang. It was 12 o'clock sharp, and seriously hot, and it was my freaking 21st birthday, and I was wandering aimlessly up and down the place. I cried a lil' bit as I just couldn't stand that situation. I was still silently crying when my eldest sister and her husband (who stay at Kuala Terengganu) arrived. They then picked us up and brought us to the motel. The moment we reached our room, I straightly looked for the bathroom and took shower for like half an hour and had a very pleasing nap, before I began listing my 21st birthday resolutions :)

At around 10pm, my eldest sister and her husband appeared, with a Secret Recipe cake box and KFC. yeay! and shake-a-doo, it's Chocolate Banana! oh, I just couldn't stop smiling :)

the number 5 represented the 3-in-1 celebration; my birthday (November 5), my mom's belated 50th birthday, and my sister and brother-in-law's minor anniversary (5 months). It was awesome!, except for the fact that another 2 family members; my father and elder sister weren't there to together share the joyness.

Before reaching midnight, we spent our time together at the karaoke lounge. Omg, I never knew that my brother-in-law is so good at singing! LOL. As it's almost midnight, we decided to call it a day. I studied Pragmatics a lil' bit before having a wonderful good night sleep :)

Well to be honest, for like half of the day, I thought that my birthday sucked this year. But then at the end of the day, I realized that it was actually a blessing in disguise.

THANKS A MILLION to all for the birthday wishes. Thanks for the precious people (sister, close friends) for texting me the birthday wishes as the clock striked twelve. Thanks for the beloved people who sang a birthday song for me on the phone. I was moved! Really. Thanks for my pregnant sister and her lovely husband for the cake, and amazing dinner. Thanks for those Facebook friends for spending some time to write me birthday wishes on my wall. Thanks to all. Thanks a LOT.

THANK YOU MOM, for giving birth to me.

and most importantly, THANK YOU ALLAH for still giving me a chance to repent, and fix my mistake, with every single breathe I take. Thank you Allah, for EVERYTHING :)
