cooking is surprisingly fun ;)

some random questions for introduction;
where could i be found this afternoon? -kitchen. *chuckle*.
was i out of mind?
-well, not really. *giggle*

it wasn't my intention (oh, i'd award myself if it's true), but since the chef a.k.a my 2nd sister has gone back to Kuantan so i had no choice but to stay at the work place for housewives and prepare anything that can be eaten for lunch. i really was at my wits' end. seriously. my parents would be back late due to extra meeting or whatsoever so i was forced (due to responsibility) to cook. well, it wasn't supposed to be a BIG matter but for someone like me, kitchen is only a place to grab something to eat. after finishing other house chores, i found 'Tempe' on the table and finally decided to toss it off by frying. at least, there will be something for lunch. (correction, MY lunch. -parents surely have eaten before going back).

so, here is the progress of making my so called chef-d’oeuvre for today ;)

never thought that cutting 'tempe' into pieces would also be hard.

tissues are used to absorb oil.

some were overcooked but not fatal for sure. ;p

'Tempe' is a malay traditional food, made by soy beans. so it can also be referred as 'soy paste'. it is undeniably a good healthy food. (google the good things in it by yourself). it has been my favorite food since last year and believe it or not, it is my daily meal at uia! but i prefer it to be 'berlada'. (hv no idea what the dish is called -tempe msk merah? tempe pedas? whatever.)

after few hours (seriously), the meal is eventually done. i guess there was smile in my face but i murmured; "are they for today's lunch? for real?". while i kept mumbling, the rescue team went back! haha. parents were home. thank God that i finally got to have a perfect lunch; prepared by mom ;).

conclusion: though the result isn't look good (as expected dgn middle finger sedikit melecur), at least i got the knowledge that i CAN cook. kyaaahhh!~

i know most people my age or even much younger including you, are capable to do much, much better than i did. i know. yeah, hell, i know. and i know that it surely is not something to be proud of. but we were not growing up under the same roof that we have different abilities and skills. it may seem nothing -goreng tempe je kottt. but in my case, i can say that it is an achievement that will never ever be forgotten for the rest of my life. *grin*.
